The ability to infer is a FUNDAMENTAL skill to score well in ALL your source-based questions (SBQs), whether for Social Studies or History.

Think of it as the foundation — first, you master the skill of inferring, next you apply it to all your SBQs.

Many students seem lost on what is an inference, and worse, clueless on how to write the answer to an inference question.

Check out my short video on how to craft a good answer to an inference question:

First off I would like to say awesome blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your mind prior to writing. I have had difficulty clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out there. I do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or tips? Many thanks!
